    Responsibilities

    Essential Job Functions

    • Tracks and maintains expiring licenses, registrations, and health assessments for all credentialed providers
    • Prepares and sends monthly communications to credentialed providers and Department Leaders related to expiring licenses, registrations and health assessments
    • Audits, organizes, and maintains provider files in accordance with established principles of legal documentation and confidentiality
    • Acts as a resource for medical staff in administrative policies and procedures, and manages medical staff related polices in the policy manager database
    • Ensures compliance with professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements
    • Prepares and attends Committee meetings, coordinates agenda, takes minutes, and provides administrative support
    • Prepares data reports for various configuration of data such as provider profiles, pending provider list, and expired credentials
    • Coordinates and communicates Emergency Department Call Schedule
    • Attendance requirements are based on your current role and status of position (FT, PT or PRN).  Please direct attendance requirements to your immediate supervisor and/or refer to the Employee Handbook for more attendance/scheduling details/policies

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

    • Associates Degree, preferred
    • CMSC or CPCE certification or completion within 6 months, required
    • One to two years’ experience as a medical staff services professional or two years related experienced (quality assurance, risk management, medical records, MHO/PPO physician relations, physician practice management) preferred
    • Experience with credentialing software
    • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
