Responsibilities

The Director of Quality and Risk establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians and associates. The DQR identifies and remedies issues through continuous patient/customer satisfaction and performance improvement data through associate and physician involvement. The DQR directs and coordinates all department activities to assure continuous monitoring of hospital-wide Performance Improvements. This position directs and coordinates all department activities regarding patient satisfaction initiatives and activities. The DQR oversees the management of Infection Control, Worker’s Compensation and Employee Health Services. This position consults with administration on Risk Management issues. The DQR ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care, maintains compliance with professional nursing, The Joint Commission, and all Federal and State standards of care.

 

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN required. Master's degree strongly preferred.
  • Current registration and licensure with the Board of Nurse Examiners for the state or a Compact state.
  • One to three years’ experience in Quality/Resource Management.
  • Relevant clinical experience and previous management experience preferred.
