Adeptus Health is expanding access to the highest quality emergency medical care through it's network of freestanding emergency rooms and partnerships with premier healthcare providers. In Texas, Adeptus Health owns and operates First Choice Emergency Room and First Texas Hospital. In Colorado, in partnership with University of Colorado Health, Adeptus operates UCHealth Emergency Room. In Arizona, in partnership with Dignity Health, Adeptus operates Arizona General Hospital and freestanding emergency rooms. In Louisiana, Adeptus Health has a partnership with Ochsner Health to improve access to emergency medical care. 


Under the direct supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Manager of Respiratory Services sets up and operates various types of oxygen and other therapeutic gas and mist inhalation equipment to be used in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and illness to both general floor and critical care areas. The Manager of Respiratory Services has oversight of training and competencies of registered nurses who perform respiratory care services. This is an Exempt position.


Education and Experience:

  • Licensed Arizona Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with 1+ year of clinical experience
  • Current ACLS, BLS, PALS
  • Must have a current card from an American Heart Association (AHA) recognized course; Note: exclusively online courses are not offered by the AHA
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a management position
  • Knowledge of State, CMS, and Joint Commission rules & regulations
  • Ability to make independent sound clinical and management decisions
  • Liaison between clinical staff and administration as needed
  • Graduate of a 1 year AMA approved Respiratory Care program
  • Expertise in RRT preferred
  • Blood gas analyzers, co-oximeters, aerosol generators, breathing circuits, suction equipment/gauges, respirometers, manual resuscitators, oxygen humidifiers, mechanical ventilators, medical gas cylinders, regulators, flow meters, mechanical percussors, and vibrators
  • Basic computer skills
  • Conversational English
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
