Reporting to the Executive Vice President – Hospital, the Regional Director of Operations (RD) will have multi-site responsibility for the strategic planning, managing, directing, coordinating and controlling of the operations of multiple Hospital Outpatient Departments (HOPD) in a designated Region. The RD initiates and enforces organization-wide policies and procedures that support the accomplishment of the facility’s aims, objectives, and programs. They will direct the annual budgeting and strategic planning functions that ensure quality clinical services and a financially sound organization. Reporting to this position are Facility Operations Managers for each facility and their operating staff. This is a full-time exempt position.


Job Responsibilities and Duties
Essential Job Functions:
• Reviewing and approving budgets, revenue projections, capital and operational expenses, staffing levels based on patient acuity and corporate initiatives, and any other plans for allocation of fiscal or other resources to the Hospital Outpatient Departments
• Assuring that all designated facilities provide for orientation, in-service training and continuing education to ensure that staff members are competent to provide services
• Reviewing all Facility performance improvement plans and activities to measure and assess the quality of services provided
• Overseeing and providing direction to center leadership regarding mission and objectives, expected productivity and efficiency, and compliance
• Consulting with Facility Medical Director and physician staff to foster high employee morale and a positive work environment for employees
• Ensuring maintenance of physical properties in good and safe state of repair and operation
• Ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies and governing health care delivery and the rules of accrediting bodies by continually monitoring Facility operations, programs and physical properties, and ensuring changes where required
• Reviewing the plans for the achievement of each Center’s specific objectives and established goals, and periodically reviews, evaluates and updates such plans
• Maintaining overall responsibility for the implementation and compliance with HIPPA laws and regulations at all Facilities
• Attendance requirements are based on your current role and status of position (FT, PT or PRN). Please direct attendance requirements to your immediate supervisor and/or refer to the Employee Handbook for more attendance/scheduling details/policies
Supervisory Responsibility:
Supervise the Regional Radiology Managers, Regional Nurse Managers and Regional Patient Access Managers for each region

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in multi-facility, Hospital-based Emergency/Ambulatory healthcare industry
• Strong track record of driving customer satisfaction
• Proven ability to manage a team of six (6) or more manager-level team members
• Effectively develop and implement marketing plans
• Must have a strong knowledge of state and federal regulations that govern hospital and/or healthcare facilities
• Able to prepare and analyze budgets and financial reports
• Experienced with computers, to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet
• Must be willing to participate in patient satisfaction programs/activities
• Travel is required in this position
